Who we are

We have been in business for more than 25 years and we operate on a standard that is backed with honesty, integrity, and customer satisfaction. This mindset is all encompassing and applies to both our day to day, in-person, and direct interface with clients as well as to contacts and communications related to our web presence.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We maintain two classes of site visitors and users.

General Public:

The first class is the General Public class. The General Public class relates to and consists of users that visit our site, view the content, and engage in submitting online form submissions such as the 'Contact Form'.

Enrolled User:

The second class is the Enrolled User class.  The Enrolled User class consists of individuals which have elected to be participants in data exchange on a higher level.  This level includes, but it not limited to, Client Portal features, Gallery Uploads, Comments, and Testimonials. The members in the Enrolled User class include Stone Image, Inc. representatives and employees, enrolled current clients and enrolled prospective clients.  Additionally, our internet and marketing technicial support team (aka Techies) are included in this class.

Comments (applies only to Enrolled Users)

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.  The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.  After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media (applies only to Enrolled Users)

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.  Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

Our contact forms are established in a manner that only communicates with specially designated Stone Image staff members and Techies.  We do not store your data online.  Your contact information and other data submitted in the form are transmitted directly via email to a select recipient designation, for review and use in order to communicate better with you.  The data submitted to the recipient(s) is treated as privately as any and all emails which this select group of uses for their own personal work related email.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies.  These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.  These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies.  This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices.  Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year.  If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks.  If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser.  This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.).  Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Since the creation of this website we have not included or applied any embedded content (June 2020).

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA) in order to measure and review the traffic to and within our website.  This is a measure in order to both help improve our UI/UX interface and presentation for both class of site users/visitors and to help us improve the quality and benefit of the site.  No data is taken or used from GA otherwise.  To learn more about Google Analytics please visit their site.  Data through analytics consists of, but is not limited to, your computer id, IP address, browser, OS, pages visited, timestamps and other such data.

Who we share your data with

We do not share, lease or sell your data with any other party, person, or entity.

As a General Public participant, the data you submit to us is only to be used by us to communicate with you.  As an Enrolled user, and dependent upon the class of data submitted, the same applies. In the case of  'testimonials' or comments, that data may be made public on the website and other marketing materials but private information such as full names, address(es), phone number(s), and email address(es) will remain private and unpublished.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any) to be considered in the "Enrolled Class", we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile.  All "Enrolled Users" can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).  Website administrators can also see that information and have the ability to edit or remove it if and when needed and requested.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.  You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you.  This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

If you believe your private data (applies to Enrolled Users only) exposes you, and/or you would like us to remove or modify your information and/or profile please get in touch with us via email or postal mail with a written request.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments, if and when enabled, may be checked through an automated spam detection service.  Information you enter into posts or comments may be made available on the pages and content where such information is displayed.  Email addresses and other contact information, however, are not made public on such displays.

Information you provide via Contact forms and similar submission forms, in order to communicate with the Stone Image Inc. representatives, is transmitted through email to qualified recipients.  Otherwise your data remains confidential and we will not forward, release, or sell your information to any other parties.

Your contact information

Contact information consists of your Full Name, the email address associated with your account and profile, any provided phone numbers and street addresses which are provided and associated with your Enrolled Class profile or sent with a submission form.

Financial and Identity information

We do not request or require any financial and identity information from you on our site.  We do ask for or store information about our users that may include Social Security numbers, Driver's License number, banking and credit card information, and/or any other similar data which may be related to your credit, credit reports, banking, and financial status.

In the event we ever offer any aspect of finacial transactions related to Guests, General Public and Enrolled User classes of users, said transactions would be managed secured by a verified, sound, and recognized third party service.

Additional information

How we protect your data

Our website is encrypted with a Secure Socket Layer encryption. Any information of your's, if stored, is maintained in seperate data sets with multiple layers of encryption.  We are hosted on one of the largest, if not the largest cloud infrastructures in the world and rely greatly upon their data protection techniques.

What data breach procedures we have in place

If any threatening breach of data is discovered we immediately perform full lock-out, shut down, back-up, and review procedures.  Though very unlikely for any breach to occur in a site such as ours, we will consider a complete and temporary cessation of the website until matters are reviewed, corrected and new security measures are in place.  In the event of such measures the site may be routed/forwarded to another temporary page, on a different IP or platform, and the status of recovery shall be posted therein.

If a serious breach occurs and data is collected, we will send an email notifying you of the breach, the threat level, and the steps both being taken to restore the site and the steps to get your profile back online securely.  These emails will be sent to the most recent email we may have listed for each profile.

What third parties we receive data from

The only Thrid Party data which we receive data from is Google Analytics.  The information which Google Analytics makes available us to see or review is the same data shared with most or all websites which a user visits.

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

We do not participate in unsolicited email campaigns. We do not sell your information to other parties.  We will not release and data collected on you, without your express and written consent, unless legally bound and compelled to do so by law enforcement and/or the courts.
